NOTE: Before we even begin, this paper/presentation is a supplement to an exam. AS a result, the effort and final product should balance with the weight given to an exam at the end of a program.
It is hoped that this paper will inspire you to explore something relating to technology that you would truly like to know more about. The topics are wide open, as long as they concern technology. You may choose something very specific such as the way cd's work , how they are made etc; or perhaps the historical development of recorded sound. NOTE: Be sure that for what ever the topic/content you choose, you can find enough resources to make it work. You are encouraged to use your imagination, not only for your topics , your medium of delivery, but even just what kind of "tech" project you would like to do. For this reason, there is a deadline for submissions of topics and how you wish to present your project.
NOTE: All projects are to be unique, "one of a kind" projects.
No one is to cover the same topic as someone else. This is a "first-come, first-serve" setup, so get your submissions in early.
NOTE : in a proposed alternative project, you must include your evaluation.
The following is the proposed outline to be followed unless you come up with an approved, more interesting project type.
This is to be a research project is to be an approved area of technology of your choice. The topic can have a concentration in a specific aspect of a broad subject. For example : you may wish to do fighter jets. The project would most likely be on air transportation, exhibiting the evolution of air travel in general, along with the social affects it carried along with it. You could include an expanded investigation in an area of personal interest like fighter jets. If it were on fighter jets there would still be included evolutionary and social implications that surround these technological machines of destruction.
You are to choose a software to present your project. You may choose between "Powerpoint", "Free Lance Graphics", Web based software and so on, as long as the following is included:
- 15%- OUTLINED FORMAT (inc. BIBLIOGRAPHY)
- 40%- CONTENT
- 15%- CONCLUSION
- 30%- PRESENTATION
NOTE : NOVELTY and MANIPULATION OF RESOURCES IS WHAT SEPARATES AVERAGE AND PREMIUM RESULTS
